Molly Meyer
they/them
CEO & Founder
Molly founded Omni Ecosystems to democratize nature. They envisioned, created, and lead a company supplying innovative soil technologies for greening the built environment. A key motivator for Molly is delivering solutions across the triple bottom line, exemplified in Omni projects such as District House, Studio Gang, and The Salt Shed.
Rooted in soil science, Molly started Omni in 2009 as a products company that develops & refines technology & processes to scale up green infrastructure & its benefits. Over the next decade, they added design, construction, maintenance, urban agriculture, and real estate development to their team’s capabilities. This breadth of expertise and services aided in proving Omni’s products in the marketplace and developing Molly’s business experience and acumen across multiple verticals. From 2022-24, they embarked on a multi-year, company-wide effort to refocus & restructure Omni: moving away from its vertically integrated positioning, divesting of its installation & maintenance services, and selling its landscape architecture studio Omni Workshop and real estate properties. Starting in 2025, Molly set Omni’s sole focus back to its roots in soil science.
Molly holds two degrees from Stanford University: a Master of Science and a Bachelor of Science, both in Earth Systems. In addition to leading Omni Ecosystems, they led the redevelopment and adaptive reuse of a 2.5-acre site & 100-year-old milk bottling plant in Chicago’s Bronzeville neighborhood into Omni's headquarters, built green roofs as a Robert Bosch Fellow in Germany, and worked as a carpenter for a general contractor in Seattle.
Outside of Omni, Molly loves spending time with their nephews, dancing, high fiving, belly laughing, and exploring the great outdoors.
