Designed to Work with GEO

BIO works in partnership with GEO to create Omni Infinity Media. GEO provides the structural and hydrological foundation, while BIO delivers the biological systems that bring the media to life. Applied at just ¼-inch depth over GEO, it forms a living surface layer that supports seed germination, root development, and microbial colonization. Within weeks of installation, BIO begins forming a biotic crust. Over time, plant roots and fungal networks develop a stable biomantle—converting sterile aggregate into functioning living soil. Together, BIO and GEO rapidly form resilient, self-sustaining soil ecosystems capable of supporting diverse landscapes.

Current Applications

BIO helps Omni Infinity Media perform across extensive green roofs, intensive green roofs, bioswales and bioretention stormwater management, planters and tree pits (including suspended pavement), and brownfields and other challenging, constrained sites where lightweight, clean growth media is required.

Emerging Applications

Looking ahead, evidence indicates BIO + GEO may support emerging applications in pollution abatement/bioremediation, pollution control/biofiltration, and land restoration through biocolonization and biocrust formation, as well as possible improvements in compost, biosolids compost, and nursery production.
