Senior Designer - Omni Workshop

As a Senior Landscape Designer for Omni Ecosystems’ landscape architecture studio, Omni Workshop™, Meg works on the design team and assists with design schemes, visualization and spatialization. She believes in the power of public landscapes, both large and small, to revitalize, teach, and inspire urbanites. Meg earned a dual Master of Architecture and Landscape Architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a dual Bachelor of Chemistry and Studio Art from the University of Richmond.

Prior to joining the Omni team full time, Meg completed internships at Division 32 Landscape Architecture and right here at Omni. She has previous experience as a a chemist, analyzing the composition of construction materials, and as a seasonal container gardener and project manager on the North Shore of Chicago. During her time at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Meg served as the American Society of Landscape Architects IIT Student Chapter President, and as a member of the College of Architecture Diversity + Inclusion Committee. As of the fall semester of 2022, Meg is serving as Adjunct Professor at IIT’s College of Architecture, teaching Ecology and Materials Workshop III: Planting Design and Construction; providing an advanced understanding of planting typologies, the history of plants in design, and the preparation of planting construction documentation augmented by the study of built landscapes in the Chicago area.

Outside of Omni Meg enjoys tending her urban vegetable garden, playing with her dog, cooking, kayaking, and hiking.
